We are delighted to once again be part of the British Coatings Federation Annual Award

NexantECA were delighted to be part of the British Coatings Federation (BCF) Sustainable Innovation Award category for 2021, with Vice President Jonathan Bourne once again joining the judging panel. The winners were announced on 14th of October at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel. Almost 300 delegates were there to watch the 12 winners announced across 11 categories.

Tom Bowtell, BCF Chief Executive said “After a really challenging time for our industry, it was great to come together face to face and celebrate the achievements of our member companies. It is also exciting to see so much young talent in our sector, demonstrated particularly in our Apprentice of the Year and Young Leader of the Year categories. Many congratulations to all those who were shortlisted, but especially to the winners”.

The evening opened with the Sustainable Innovation Award. This award recognises and celebrates commitment to the BCF Sustainability Policy through the launch of innovative sustainable products, processes, or services.

This year, the winner of the award went to PPG for Moonwalk. The judges chose this entry as the winner as it demonstrated a high level of engineering expertise, with minimal wasted product. Due to this it has seen an impressive uptake since its launch.
